Susanne Schuberth and I wrote this article as God has taught us from past as well as current experiences dealing with Christians among whom men and women have risen up, teaching perverse things to draw away disciples after them (See 1 John 2:26-28).
Putting our Christian views to the test

This is another joint blog post Michael Clark and I wrote together. As always, it needs to be seen against the backdrop of our own religious history. We both have had many years of experience in different church groups that were not founded on Christ and see why Paul said, “For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” (1 Cor 2:2 ASV)
Imagine you hear or read about a new branch of Christianity and you, of course, want to know whether what those people believe might be the truth or not. How can we quickly discern if we are dealing with real or only fake Christianity? To come straight to the point, without spiritual discernment received by God’s Spirit, the firmness of our conviction will be shaken again and again, depending on our…

You are very welcome to all that God has given me, Susanne. He uses you to inspire me as well it seems. It is so easy for me to track with where He has you. May He continue to bless us with this fellowship in Christ.

This was absolutely one of the best most wonderful writings I have been blessed by in a long long time.
Christ and Him crucified…. and I in Him. Such powerful and simple principles that ring true at the very core of our being. What else.. in the end, truly.. is there?
Thank you for this reminder and re-focus.
This blessed me immensely.

Wow, David! You really blessed me with your comments both here and on Susanne’s blog. It is so good to hear when the Spirit uses us to bring others closer to the truth that is ours IN Christ.
Thanks for staying in touch,
Michael

I most certainly plan on it!
It is such a joy to see how Dad places the body together in His seasons when we will reap the most blessings from it.

Talk soon,
David

So true, David. His timing is never ours, but it is always perfect for the outcome that is best for us and His kingdom. And His choice of the living stones that we are, usually takes our Master Stone Mason’s personal touch to remove the parts of us that will not go together with those next to us in the temple HE is building. With all this personal chipping away, it is hard to see what He is building and we won’t until He is done. But when that day comes, we will all say that it was worth it all.
